Ale Marchi

Ale Marchi
Birth Date: August 10, 1979
Birth Place: Sao Paulo, Brazil
Birth Name: Alexander Marchi de Siqueira
Height: 6’1″

Ale Marchi, real name Alexander Marchi de Siqueira, born August 10, 1979, in Sao Paulo, is a Brazilian model.

Standing 6′-1″ and 175 pounds, Ale Marchi has been modeling for almost 7 years now. Marchi started his career completely by chance. He was a freshman communications (journalism) student, and was invited by a friend from school to go to an agency. “Until then, I had never thought about modeling,” he remembers. “Since I wasn’t enjoying the class, I decided to take a chance.”

And indeed he took a risk. Ale Marchi changed schools, worked six months in Brazil, until he was presented with an invitation to work in Europe, where he stayed for six months.

The way he faces the modeling career, is however, what makes this paulistano (native of Sao Paulo city) different from many of his peers. ” I don’t depend so much on the fashion because I support myself in another way,” he said. This other way is a store of beach fashion and athletic clothing, put together 2 years ago – the result of his post graduate degree in Business Administration.

“I started to take a new class and came back to Europe and obviously I got a little off track the modeling work. Sometimes, I go four months without doing any work in that field,” he said.

Marchi is into jiu-jitsu which he learned for almost 5 years. It is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position from which to force an attacker to submit. He loves Japanese food and enjoys listening to different kinds of music. He describes himself as a calm and friendly person. His ultimate dream is to travel to every country in the world to experience its beauty and culture and also meet many people.

Song Seung-hun (born Song Seung-bok on October 5, 1976) is a South Korean actor. He started his career as a model in 1995, modelling for the brand name STORM, and began acting in sit-coms and TV dramas in 1996. In 1999 he made his film debut in Calla and has since then gathered prominent fan base throughout Asia.

Song is noted for his role in Korean dramas like Autumn Fairy Tale (2000) and Summer Scent. Song, during his late teenage years, successfully evaded serving the local army by claims of heavy diabetes and high blood pressure. At 28, he was discovered by the South Korean government and forced to serve the army for two years. Many fans pleaded for the government of South Korea not to take such a drastic action. Song, feeling guilty of himself, apologised to his fellow countrymen.

Despite pleas from his fans to the South Korean government, they feared that by giving clemency to Song would spark off riots and strikes by the people’s displeasure of breaching equitity among citizens. In the end, Song temporarily dropped acting to serve the army until 2006, although he was diagnosed with high blood pressure. Song was discharged on November 15 as a Corporal.

At the dawn of the new millennium, Enrique Iglesias was the best-selling Latin recording artist in the world. The son of multimillion-selling singer Julio Iglesias, Enrique was born in Madrid, Spain, where he lived with his mother, his brother Julio, and his sister Chabeli. In 1982, his mother sent them to live in Miami with their father. While there, Enrique was exposed to three different cultures and musical influences — Hispanic, European, and American.
Enrique Iglesias
Iglesias’ own career started when he was still attending Gulliver Private School, a very prestigious school in Miami. He made his singing debut in a production of Hello, Dolly, after which he began practicing his singing without his parents knowing. After a year studying business at the University of Miami, he decided to follow his passion for music. In 1995, he sang in person for his soon-to-be manager, who at Iglesias’ insistence of not wanting to use his family name, first shopped his demos as an unknown Central American singer named Enrique Martinez. It wasn’t until he earned a record deal with Fonovisa that Enrique told his father and mother of his aspirations. Then he flew to Toronto where no one knew him and he could concentrate just on music, to record for five months.

That first album, Enrique Iglesias (1996), sold more than a million copies in three months (it earned him his first gold record in Portugal in a mere seven days) and to date has sold more than six million worldwide. The second album, Vivir (1997), enjoyed global sales of more than five million discs and launched his first world tour, backed by sidemen for Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, and Billy Joel. In a mere three years, Iglesias had sold more than 17 million Spanish-language albums, more than anyone else during that period. (The U.S. was his biggest market.) He also won the 1996 Grammy for Best Latin Performer, 1996’s Billboard Artist of the Year, Billboard’s Album of the Year for Vivir, two American Music Awards, a World Music Award, eight Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, two ACE Performer of the Year Awards, and ASCAP prizes for Best Composer of 1996 and 1997, in addition to countless accolades around the world.
Enrique Iglesias
With 1998’s Cosas del Amor, Iglesias moved to more mature content; his earlier material had been written when he was 17 years old. Then came Enrique, Enrique Iglesias’ first Interscope album and first in English, which achieved gold or platinum status in 32 countries and brought his global album sales to a total of more than 23 million. In 2001 he released the follow-up, Escape. Iglesias alternated Spanish- and English-language albums during the next two years, first offering the ballad collection Quiz in 2002, then the mainstream English record Seven in 2003.

Carlos Concepcion

Carlos ConcepcionName: Carlos Concepcion
Height: 5’8″
Weight: 140 lbs.
Occupation: Model, Designer
Country: Philippines

He holds a hyphenated title as long as his name. Model-entrepreneur-singer-dancer-designer Carlos Bernardo Santos Concepcion has been getting a lot of buzz lately. Easily the most controversial in his group, Take 5 – that boyband that performs every 1 pm on the Sunday show SOP, Carlos has remained unscathed. In fact he has admitted to the photos that circulated in the net recently [see post ]. Still, his person remains a mystery as to his lineage [apparently an heir of the Concepcions of RFM, but isn’t Joey Concepcion the heir of the empire?], his school [DLSU or Benilde?], his real occupation [he listed “designer” in the last Metro Magazine body calendar]. All I know is that his mother is a prominent Santos of Cebu, that he has a big vacation house with a big pool somewhere south of Manila, and that he walks as if he’s floating. I’m not making the last one up, but he does look nice doing that; imagine his heels not touching the ground, that is how he does it. Just watch SOP every Sunday and see for yourselves. It is awfully cute. And then again, let’s give the good kid a break. He is in the biz to earn a living and to enjoy his life.

Jon Mullally – Philippines’ top model

Jon Mullally
Jon is one of the Philippines’ top male models.

Jon Mullally is 6’1″ lean, trim and weighing 175 lbs. He used to be the Century Tuna Image Model, getting the deal after surviving a model search held in Boracay Islands last year. Jon was formerly a banker in London before moving here to do some modeling [I presume without being too cocky about it: Modeling is way more lucrative than say, banking.]. Jonathan Mullally, recently seen as the yellow-bikini-clad cover of gay Icon pulp, is half-Irish and half-Filipino.
