The Edison Chen photo scandal is a media scandal that involves Hong Kong actor Edison Chen and actresses Gillian Chung, Bobo Chan, Cecilia Cheung, and possibly other female celebrities. It started in January 2008 when nude photographs of people resembling the actors engaging in sexual acts with each other were distributed on the internet. As at 4 February, eight people have been arrested for being connected with the distribution of the photos.

The Hong Kong police enlisted the assistance of Interpol. The actions of the police in this matter have raised concerns about violation of human rights and the relationship with powerful media tycoons.

Eduardo Verástegui is an actor, model, and singer who was born on May 21, 1974 in Mante, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He was studying law before he decided to take up modeling, and in 1994 he became part of the pop group Kairo. In 1997 he began to act in Mexican telenovelas, and his filmography includes such titles as “Soñadoras” and “Alma rebelde”. Lee-Hom Wang (Chinese: 王力宏; born May 17, 1976 in Rochester, New York; also referred to as, Wang Leehom, or just Leehom) is a four time Golden Melody Award-winning American singer-songwriter and actor who has achieved highly recognized success in Taiwan, Mainland China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia. One of his most notable contributions to Mandopop was the introduction of “chinked-out” music, a genre heavily influenced by traditional Chinese music. Wang is managed by and records albums with Sony BMG. As of 1995, the beginning of his musical career, Wang has contributed in over 25 albums, topping to nearly 13,000,000 sales. In addition to his album sales, he also set a new attendance record at the Taipei Arena for his Heroes of Earth 2006 Concert on March 2006 as the concert had broken over six national records. Wang also participated in several films, his role in Ang Lee’s Lust, Caution gaining the most attention. Recently, Wang was listed among “The 80 Most Inspiring Asian Americans of All Time” by Goldsea Asian American Daily.

Nicholas Scott Lachey (born November 9, 1973 at Harlan, Kentucky, USA) is an American pop singer and actor who rose to fame in the late-1990s as a writer and joint lead-vocalist along with founding member Jeff Timmons of the boy-band, 98 Degrees. The group also included Lachey’s brother Drew Lachey and classmate Justin Jeffre. They sold over ten million records worldwide and charted top-forty singles.

Lachey starred in the hit reality television series Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica with his then-wife, fellow pop singer Jessica Simpson. The series ran on MTV for three seasons, from 2003 until 2005.

Ashley Taylor Dawson (born 11 January 1982) is an English actor and singer.

Ashley joined Hollyoaks in September 1999. His character, Darren Osborne, had briefly appeared back in the mid-90s played by actor Adam Booth, but hadn’t been seen on screen for two years. After leaving the programme in late 2000 Ashley enjoyed a short-lived career in the music business as part of the group All Stars. He returned to Hollyoaks in October 2003.

When not working on Hollyoaks Ashley likes to spend his time away from the set relaxing with friends and socialising.
